Review Detail
2016 Purple Hands Montepulciano
Wine Rating
93
There is an understated fruit richness to the wine that speaks of the Barossa, however the drying and savoury nature of Montepulciano has equal impact with the wine being light on its feet and gently unraveling a savoury impact of cherry and plum fruit. The mid palate has gentle influence of sage to red berry fruits and is lifted by new leather before a finish that is framed by juicy acidity and tannin that drives length.
