Review Detail
2017 Allegiance Wines The Artisan Mataro
Wine Rating
87
Lifted blackberry and sweetness of spice on the nose, with a touch of confection. There is a sweet and sour aspect on the palate with taut fruit and acidity up front before confected oak takes over from the fruit. Acidity is too high and detracts from what fruit there is, there is some charcuterie and blackberry but it’s hard to find.
