Review Detail

2018 Jackson’s Hill Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre
Wine Rating

90
The grapes were sourced from the Fleurieu Peninsula with the wine showing a pretty light red in the glass.

The nose gives wild strawberry, vanillin oak and shows just a touch warmth, a generous and mouth coating wine with wild strawberry and raspberry fruits the move towards rhubarb with embellishments of earth and spice. Things are pulled together by well handled acidity that ensures the breadth of fruit flavours don’t go unchecked. There is a subtle return of oak induced spice to finish.
