Review Detail
2016 Blue Pyrenees Estate The Pom Cabernet Franc
Wine Rating
93
The wine was produced from dry grown vines in the estate vineyard and is a generous example of straight Cabernet Franc that will have many admirers.
A nose that is brimming with plum fruit and faint notes of mint and cedar. The warmer year has given generosity to what is sometimes a more savoury wine with a milk chocolate thread to dark cherry and plum with an enjoyable earthen note. The finish enjoys an embellishment of spice and fine but impactful tannins. A very nice addition to the Blue Pyrenees lineup.
