Review Detail
2019 Purple Hands Mataro Grenache Shiraz
Wine Rating
93
A blend of 83% Mataro, 9% Grenache and 8% Shiraz.
A vibrant deep red in the glass with generous red and black fruits on the nose with plum and red cherry the main influences; gentle earth and spice have background impact.
The palate is medium to full bodied and is bursting with wild strawberry and plum, tannins are supple and give a cocoa and earth with alpine herbs giving another layer of interest to the finish with cherry fruit lingering.
