Review Detail
2019 Angullong Crossing Reserve Harriet
Wine Rating
92
The wine is a blend of Sangiovese, Sangratino and Montelpulciano which is named after the Matriarch of the Crossing family who have been the custodians of Angullong for over 70 years. The nose has an enjoyable interplay between cured meats, baking herbs and the cranberry and black cherry fruit that underpins it. There is a suppleness to the fruit on the palate with a steady build of tannins that you would expect from the constituent varieties. The fruit on the mid palate is etched with earthen impact before the finish closes with bitter dark cherry.
