Review Detail
2007 d'Arenberg Ironstone GSM
Wine Rating
89
A medium red hue in the glass, the nose is influenced by heady vanillin oak, juicy plum and cherry aromas.
The palate doesn't show the same exuberance as the nose having a more savoury mode with gripping tannins, darker berry fruits and chocolate characters. The wine is still to develop additional complexity in the mid palate and the finish is driven by firm tannins and underlying dark berries.
