A medium red in colour, initially there is austere licorice and plum on the nose that begins to show more fruit as it breathes, the palate is firm with dark cherry and subtle cedary oak.

The finish shows dominant tannins and a zesty mineral acidity. The 08 has a great structure that will reward cellaring, but is currently in it's awkward, slightly confused infancy.
