Review Detail
2013 The Islander Estate 'The White'
Wine Rating
90
An odd and enjoyable mix of varieties on the nose with grassy semillon given some richness from apricot scented viognier, and the slightest touch of vanillin oak.
The wine is structural, with a full and complex mouthfeel that has depth of spiced apricot and a slightly grassy lanolin character from the semillon. the wine finishes with peppery dried apricot and considerable length, the acid is precise and focused.
