Review Detail
2014 Seppeltsfield Vermentino
Wine Rating
90
Vermentino is a variety that is gaining traction in the Barossa, with a number of good examples in recent years. The variety likes warm climates, has moderate water requirements and can maintain it’s acidity well. The grapes for this wine were sourced from the Barossa Valley floor.
A nose of lemon blossom, lanolin and pear, the palate has great acid and texture with lemon pith and oyster shell. The wine has great drive and freshness to finish.
A delicious wine in it's youth best enjoyed over the shorter term.
