2013 Travis Earth Semillon Viognier
Wine Rating

90
I tasted the current range from Travis Earth at their small bust rustic cellar door in the Barossa. Tastings are appointment only and the wines are certainly worth a look.

The wines are made by Travis O’Callaghan, son of the legendary Robert of Rockford fame, the apple hasn’t fallen too far from the tree when it comes to quality winemaking.

The Semillion Viognier is a rounded and supple wine with a nose of citrus and lanolin that moves towards custard apple and lemon curd on the palate. There is just enough acidity to keep everything in balance and frame the textural finish. Drinking well now, and over the next 5 years.
