2015 d’Arenberg The Hermit Crab Viognier Marsanne
Wine Rating

90
The Hermit Crab plays on the French region of Hermitage which is the spiritual home of the Marsanne grape, the wine is a blend of Viognier and Marsanne and a portion sees time in both French and American oak, it is textural, rich and incredible value at $15 a bottle.

A light yellow in the glass the nose combines peach, understated apricot and more tropical guava notes. A mouth filling wine that has a honeyed aspect to lightly spice stone fruits, pickled ginger gives an interesting contrast to vibrant peach to finish.

Will continue to evolve over the shorter term.
