Australia produce some enjoyable desert wines at bargain basement prices, it started with De Bortoli producing the Noble One from Bulbul NSW, a region that previously wasn’t considered a pin up for Australian wine.

A golden yellow with a nose of marmalade and cumquat, a generous and mouth filling wine with apricot, baked pineapple, orange peel and just enough citrus acidity to keep everything going. Touches of ginger work with the sweet tropical fruits to finish.
