2015 Adele Pinot Grigio

Produced by Galli Estate, the Adele range allows experimentation with small batch winemaking and in this instance the result is excellent. The wine was fermented using wild yeasts with 50% left on skins. The wine was then bottled without filtration.

A light yellow in the glass with a nose that has lifted nashi pear notes and a suggestion of lees complexity. The palate shows a wine with a nervy, citrus core with a pang of grapefruit that balances richer varietal pear fruit on the palate, background notes of pickled ginger and spice give yet another layer.

A real point of difference in what is a sea of Pinot Grigio out there.
