Review Detail
2009 Innocent Bystander Pinot Gris
Wine Rating
86
Light yellow in colour, tropical fruits are delicate on the nose, the wine has an interesting texture in the mouth that is somewhere between glycerol silkiness and a more bitter astringency.
In terms of flavour, crunchy new pear and citrus are the mainstay of the front palate, with the wine lacking complexity on the mid to back palate and suffering from a bitterness on the finish that severely detracts from the wines other elements.
