2013 Witchmount Estate Pinot Gris
Wine Rating

88
Pinot Gris continues it’s rise in the eyes of Australian wine consumers, and little by little it's chipping away at the stronghold that is Sauvignon Blanc. This Pinot Gris produced by Witchmount sees six months on lees, giving it depth and texture.

The wine is a youthful light yellow in colour, with an attractive nose of pear, candied apple and a touch of musk. The palate is medium bodied with ample structure and grip, nervy pear is at the wines centre with some lively citrus elements that add texture. The wine finishes with a phenolic bitterness, and good depth of pear fruit.
