Review Detail
2016 Tomich Woodside Vineyard Pinot Grigio
Wine Rating
92
Tasted alongside the other 2016 Pinot Grigio releases from Tomich, with the Single Vineyard expression the best amongst a very strong performing bunch of wines.
A nose of red apple skin, nashi pear, musk and a suggestion of white pepper. The palate has texture and presence with the interplay between chalky acidity and the fullness of fruit on the palate taking this beyond an easy drinking white. There is plenty of honeyed pear and grippy grapefruit pith on the long drying finish.
