Pinot Gris October 29, 2017
2015 Grey Sands Pinot Gris
Wine Rating

93
Grey Sands don’t follow the rule book and beat to the sound of their own drum, it is for that reason they produce some of the most interesting wines coming out of Tassie.

The wine comes in at 14.8% which has ensured concentration of fruit and depth of flavour. On the nose there is candied pear, custard apple and understated musk that leads to a palate that echoes the nose in terms of fruit with the addition of caramelised pineapple. The suppleness of the palate is cut through by a pickled ginger like spice that frames the finish.
