Review Detail
2018 Sidewood Estate Pinot Gris
Wine Rating
93
Sidewood consistently delivers with a Pinot Gris that retains a floral and feminine side, whilst having texture and mouthfeel that is afforded by time on lees and in barrel. The wine is a very light yellow in the glass with citrus blossom, crunchy pear and the faintest note of musk.
A texturally complete wine with worked leesy characters giving depth; with a grapefruit like grip and a savoury edge framing the mid palate, there are streaks of citrus that work well with pear and a final embellishment of ginger infused orange blossom to finish.
Incredible value.
