Review Detail
2017 Miceli Iolanda Pinot Grigio
(Updated: September 30, 2020)
Wine Rating
91
A Pinot Grigio with plenty of interest, there is something about the variety when grown in Mornington that showcases the alluring spice, texture and depth of fruit that sets the region apart. The nose has musk like spice to white peach and nashi pear; dry bush honey gives background interest. The palate has a savoury, moreish texture more akin to Chardonnay with stone fruits replaced with citrus and brown pear and musk a constant. The finish is drying and savoury with a weave of spice and the citrus thread lingering.
