A very aptly named wine, exceptionally dark and brooding in colour for a Pinot, but don't let that scare you. Nose of blackfruits and cedar, palate shows dark cherry and plum, plenty of spice and exceptionally fine grained tannins. The wine has excellent structure and mouth feel and shows a different style of Pinot to your typical Mornington.
