A deep red hue, especially for a Pinot, wafts of oak and dark berry fruits on the nose give a warmth and richness setting the scene for the palate, with the 2009 Pinot packed full of flavour and depth - a Shiraz drinkers Pinot.

The palate is rounded on entry and slowly slides from primary plum and cherry fruits towards a spicier dark cherry, the tannins are supple and full with just enough acid and spice to contrast the dominant oak and fruit characters on the decadent palate.

The wine finishes with spice and sappy cherry fruit, the length is good.

This is a wine that will be best enjoyed young whilst the primary fruits are the highlight.
