2016 Ten Minutes by Tractor McCutcheon Pinot Noir

Produced from the MV6 clone, the grapes were destemmed and cold soaked prior to fermentation using wild yeast and aged in French Oak (25% new) for 12 months. The profile of the McCutcheon Pinot is quite different to the other Single Vineyard wines with the higher proportion of new oak giving a luxurious vanillin lift, and tautness of acidity providing significant texture and mouthfeel.

The nose has impact of vanillin oak with raspberry, dark cherry and french oak. There is a suppleness of dark berry fruits that get wrapped in a generous layer of spice. A mineral line of acidity gives drive and presence and works in with fine but impactful tannins that come from both fruit and oak. This is a Pinot that is sure to reward time.
