Produced from the Midhill Vineyard in Romsey, one of the most consistent vineyards in the Macedon Ranges. The nose has dark cherry with rosemary and sage like spice. There is a savoury, earthen backdrop to the wine that is almost Burgundian in styling with dark cherry and rhubarb having impact and melding with fine tannins and some oak induced spice to finish. The wine has the structure to live for a long time.
