Review Detail
2005 Chanters Ridge Pinot Noir
Wine Rating
91
A medium red that is lightly browning towards the rim, the nose has aged Pinot characters of game meats, earthy cherry, and forest floor aromas.
The palate has depth of dark cherry and plum friuit, with drying , textural tannins, against a backdrop of controlled acidity. The finish has excellent depth and focus, with a hint of spice that marries well with the savoury dark cherry fruit.
This wine is drinking very well now, and will continue to do so over the next couple of years.
