Pinot Noir December 13, 2012
2009 Barratt The Bonython Pinot Noir
Wine Rating

88
A light to medium red in colour, the nose opens with a slight sulphide funk that blew off after a few minutes in the glass, and was replaced by restrained red cherry fruits.

The palate is lean, with a prominent acid profile that is somewhat disjointed at this point in the wines evolution, there is some nice spice and delicate red fruits on the mid to back palate, but the wine needs time to unfurl.
