2001 Nicholson River Pinot Noir
Wine Rating

94
A dull, slightly browning red in colour, the nose is hauntingly complex, and more akin to an aged burgundy with stem, earth and forrest flloor aromas combining with feminine dark cherry.

The palate is spicy, layered and intriguing, dark cherry and plum is complemented by old leather, dried herbs and smokey oak, there is excellent length on the finish that accentuates the wines underlying savouriness.
