Review Detail
2008 Yabby Lake Estate Pinot Noir
Wine Rating
96
A light to medium to red starting in colour that is starting to take on some aged hues.
A complex nose with cherry and spice, the palate is layered, precise , elegant but still has structure with cherry dominant amongst an array of spices and tannins that build across the journey. Oak is supporting and adds richness.
There is a meaty character starting to show itself on the finish, with a stemmy coffee cherry character that lingers, a wonderful wine from a consistently good producer.
