Review Detail
2004 Antonin Rodet Mercury En Sazenay Premier Cru
Wine Rating
89
A medium to full red in colour, the nose shows tomato and forrest floor aromas with subtle sage. The palate is medium to full bodied for the variety with savoury red fruits on entry that gain a slight vanillin lift before continuing in a dusty dark fruited fashion. The finish gives freshly tilled earth and just enough acidity to give structure on the finish.
This wine has reached maturity and is a solid Burgundy without reaching the same heights of other Premier Cru's from the vintage.
