Review Detail
1998 Domaine des Lambrays Morey-Saint-Denis
Wine Rating
94
A brick red in colour, starting to show it’s age, the nose is fully mature with forrest floor, earth, tomato leaf and smokey oak.
Medium bodied palate with sage and nutmeg spice to accompany what are savoury red fruits, there is a touch of spicy vanillin oak in the background and tannins are perfectly in tune with the wines current development and ratio between primary fruit and savoury secondary elements. The finish is a drying expression of dark cherry and bouquet garni.
