Review Detail
2015 Philippa Farr Gippsland Pinot Noir
Wine Rating
93
A decidedly light red in the glass, the nose gives brambly and dusty dark cherry fruit with sweet oak induced spice.
The palate is savoury and elegant; building in stature as drying tannin and generous spice add layers to well defined and varietal cherry fruit. Acidity is well handled and gives length and direction to the finish.
Drinking very well as a young wine, and will flourish over the short to medium term.
