2015 Chanters Ridge Pinot Noir
Wine Rating

93
As is the case with many of the wineries in the Macedon Ranges Chanters Ridge is a tiny vineyard with a production of just 2500 bottles a year. The vineyard is planted to Pinot Noir and the wines are typically released with a number of years on them. This wine was reviewed as part of the Macedon Ranges wine show, hence it’s not the current release available.

Attractive stalky notes and herbaceous undertones frame varietal and pure dark cherry fruit on the nose, the palate is put together well with a gentle spice and fine tannins a constant, undergrowth and drying dark cherry are the stars.

This vineyard has shown it’s pedigree to age for a long time, with this wine to be no exception.
