Review Detail
2016 Stonier Pinot Noir
Wine Rating
92
Has to be one of the best value Pinot Noir’s on the market, it over delivers in what was a fairly tough year for Pinot in general.
The wine has a pretty light to medium red colour in the glass with a nose of sappy rhubarb alongside dark cherry, lifted spice and earth.
In true Mornington fashion the palate is saturated with red cherry fruit, but enjoy the injection layered spice and fine tannins. The finish is wrapped with rhubarb and drying dark cherry, a firm line of acidity to finish gives a moreishness to the wine but also underwrites it’s future development
