Review Detail

2016 Ten Minutes by Tractor Coolart Road Pinot Noir
Wine Rating

94
The warmest single vineyard site for Ten Minutes by Tractor with the grapes destemmed and fermented using wild yeasts prior to ageing in French Oak (20% new) for 12 months prior to bottling without fining or filtration.

The nose reveals a serious wine with sappy rhubarb, crushed rock and cherry cola on show before being lifted by rose petal like spice.

The wine has a density of dark cherry fruit that’s contrasted with tarter cranberry; providing both vibrancy and texture. There is a slow build of earthen raspberry on the mid palate and an injection of baking spice that weaves its way into the finish.

Drinking well now, but is sure to soften and gain complexity over the medium term.
