Review Detail
2016 Warramunda Estate Pinot Noir
Wine Rating
93
The Estate release is a blend of MV6, 114 and 115 Pinot Noir clones and has maintained a prettiness and elegance alongside a boldness of character that has come from the 2016 vintage.
A light red in the glass, the nose starts with defined rhubarb and red cherry with oak induced spice providing a feminine prettiness to the more primary red berry fruits.
A sinewy, earthen core of dark cherry with a drying aspect to it gives the sweetness of oak even more impact. The finish carries rhubarb, unsweetened cherry and cranberry fruits before being lifted by a final embellishment of spice.
Time will be kind.
