2017 Castle Rock Estate Pinot Noir
Wine Rating

92
A delicate light red in the glass, this is a wine of elegance and persistence. The nose gives floral red cherry with sappier rhubarb notes and genoristy of spiced oak. The palate is built around tart red cherry fruits that have smokey oak and a touch of bitter earth. Rhubarb and just ripe wild strawberry give a lean and savoury note to the mid palate before the finish is given dimension by quality french oak and lingering red berry fruits. A wine that will undoubtedly improve over the medium term.
