Review Detail
2017 Oakridge Local Vineyard Series Willowlake Pinot Noir
Wine Rating
93
Sourced from one of the more famous vineyards in the Valley, the wine is a very light red in the glass and speaks of the vintage with a floral and savoury edge to dark cherry and a wisp of spice and faint herbaceous notes on the nose.
Less is more with the wine enjoying its savoury disposition, taut lines and piquant tannins. Fruit builds in intensity and is a piercingly precise with red cherry, there is a tannic and acid grip alongside notes of rhubarb to finish that underpins a decade plus in the cellar.
