2019 Giant Steps Sexton Vineyard Pinot Noir
Wine Rating

95
A medium red hue in colour with the nose more rhubarb and dark cherry than red fruits with ample undergrowth and spice. The tannins show an initial suppleness and takes on an earthen tone with an understated build of taut cranberry and oak derived spice. The finish is all about savoury texture with enough generosity of fruit and decidedly spicy disposition to provide plenty of contemplation. A much more brooding and savoury wine compared to Applejack that will reward time in the cellar.
