The grapes for this wine come from as close as Chanters Ridge in the Macedon Ranges, and as far away Tasmania, as well as a number of places in between. The multi region blend works with the nose showing floral red cherry against firmer rhubarb and earth. The palate is supple with layered tannins that give a baseline influence of spice and savoury characters. Fruit is more to the dark cherry side of the Pinot spectrum, with coffee grinds and bramble giving definition to finish. Will be sure to reward a few years in bottle.
