2007 Pegeric Pinot Noir
Wine Rating

88
This was tasted alongside the 2003 and 2009 releases and is a much riper and fuller expression of Pinot Noir, the nose has concentrated cherry and plum fruit with Christmas cake like spice. The palate has sweetness to it in terms of fruit, which is given another layer of richness from impact of new French oak. Acidity is true to the region and variety and does well to keep things in check; there is a maltiness to finish along with lingering spice and earth. A drink now proposition before the acidity falls away.
