Review Detail
2019 Levantine Hill Pinot Noir
Wine Rating
96
A wine of power and finesse that shows the layered and nuanced textures of concentrated, cherry laden fruits, with the subtle embellishments of spice that come from the very best of French oak. The aromatics are of black cherry and rhubarb backed by undergrowth and spice; the palate has energy and drive with a baseline of black cherry and a faint cherry pip like pull that contrasts the pretty brown spices; there is an autumnal note here too.
One of the best 2019 Pinot’s I have enjoyed with the warmer year giving is wine of impact, but not at the expense of complexity and interest.
