Review Detail
Pinot Noir
April 27, 2011
2008 Shelmerdine Pinot Noir
Wine Rating
90
Deep maroon to lighter red in colour the nose is interesting with some earthy / gamey characters contrasting lighter cherry and vanillin oak influences.
The palate is medium bodied and shows clear varietal Pinot fruit of plum, cherry and cinnamon / spice. The acid and oak integration is handled well with vibrant acidity and subtle oak evident.
The finish shows good length.
