Review Detail
2007 Stonier Windmill Pinot Noir
Wine Rating
95
The wine is medium red in colour and shows it's cards early with layers of dark cherry, ripe stem and earth on the nose, building expectations of the palate.
Expectations are certainly met with the wine built around a bed of fine lingering tannins that frame the stewed cherry that combines with blackberry and cloves. The finish reaches a spicy crescendo of berry fruit and has superb length.
