Pinot Noir July 10, 2011
2006 Dalrymple Pinot Noir J29 Block
Wine Rating

92
The wine is a deep red in colour that gets slightly lighter towards the rim. The nose has heady cherry and cedar aromas.

The wine begins with lighter cherry fruit that builds to developed plum with a sprinkling of spice, the tannins are grippy and firm but suit the concentrated wine style. The finish shows excellent length and mouthfeel, even a little warmth.

If there was ever a Pinot with pedigree to cellar this would be right up there, tasted 5 years post vintage it shows the potential to keep evolving for another 5- 6 years.
