Pinot Noir September 05, 2011
2008 By Farr Farrside Pinot Noir
Wine Rating

98
The nose is an earthy complex expression of dark cherry that is laden with smokey oak.

The palate has tarry cherry and plum with sublime concentration and mouthfeel, the wine builds effortlessly across the palate, with an array of spices and savoury stem that works in perfectly with well proportioned acidity.

The finish is long and complex with fruit, oak and an unmistakable smokey character in perfect harmony.

This is a wine that at time of tasting is unrivaled by any Australian Pinot Noir I have had the pleasure of tasting.
