Review Detail
2008 Pimpernel Pinot Noir
Wine Rating
95
Medium red in colour, the nose has deep dark cherry with and earthy stem like character that adds interest.
The palate has outstanding concentration , but maintains elegance, texture and contrast. Cherry and Plum fruit move across the palate in waves, with the mid to back palate gaining spice and texture building tannins.
The length on the finish is considerable and combines fruit and spicy oak elements wonderfully.
