Produced from a special site in the Clare Valley that overlooks Sevenhill and Watervale. The grapes were dry grown from a vineyard that has never seen irrigation or herbicides/pesticides. The wine was aged in 3000 litre oak on lees before bottling and extended ageing in bottle prior to release. There has been no expense spared in the creation of what is an iconic example of Australian Riesling.

A lightly golden yellow in the glass, the nose is a complex array of lime, talc and floral spice with background notes of bruised apple and understated petroleum notes.

The palate delivers both breadth and precision with an enjoyable interplay between lime and red apple fruits. Finely textured acidity and the most subtle impact of floral spice and lemongrass give dimension to the mid palate; there is even a flash of flint in the background that adds to the finish and is a nod to the time the wine spent on lees.

A timely reminder of the beauty of aged Riesling.
