2016 Robert Stein Reserve Riesling

This wine has been sourced from 40 year old vines and made in a style that's not only exhilarating in it’s youth, but lays the foundations for decades of development.

Almost clear in the glass with only a slight straw to green colour when held up to the light, the nose has lime and citrus over washed quartz with touches of talk and some funkier barrel notes coming from a portion of the wine spending time in older oak. The wine is an exercise in textural complexity with mouth filling citrus fruits that are cut back by a chalky acidity. Impressive length to finish.
