Review Detail
2011 A.T. Richardson Chockstone Riesling
Wine Rating
94
Light yellow in colour, the nose has wonderful aromatics with green apple, honeyed citrus and a touch of orange blossom.
The palate shows expressive fruit with an underlying steely mineral character, in particular there is lime zest, guava and a touch of grapefruit. The length is impressive with granny smith apple like acidity leaving the palate salivating for more after the final sip.
The wine is drinking wonderful young, but will surely age.
