Review Detail
2012 Chrismont Riesling
Wine Rating
93
A slight yellow with a fleck of green in the glass, the nose balances pear with aromatic citrus, and somewhat spicy tropical fruits.
The palate highlights how good young riesling can be, especially when from the cooler regions in Australia, the wine is edgy and racy, yet still has depth of citrus and a slight honeysuckle character, the acidity on the finish cuts through the palate and complements understated lime that lingers.
At $16 a bottle, it represents excellent value.
